Thursday April 14 is the second anniversary of the Boko Haram kidnapping of more than 200 schoolgirls in Chibok, Nigeria. Boko Haram is waging war on girls´right to education – a fundamental human right.
The Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue and the Nansen Academy wishes to mark this day by lighting an candle for each of the abducted girls in the foyer of the Nansen Academy at 4 PM on Thursday April 4. Director of the NCPD, Alfredo Zamudio will lecture about the Chibok girls, and one of the students will speak.
The world can´t allow itself to forget the Chibok-girls, nor accept that children and youth are forcibly held away from education.
